Trying to predict what will happen in the EPL is a skill in itself, as the competitiveness of the league and the sheer passion of the teams that comprise it are what makes it so intriguing and so popular.

Manchester City is looking formidable as ever, while it’s United counterpart is looking to redeem it’s lost glory while the Red Devil challenge for the league once again, Liverpool, on the other hand, will have to strive hard if the Merseyside club will set to overcome the last gasp throes that percent them from winning the League on last match day of the season
With their inconsistent start to life, Liverpool will look to shake off the feeling of Losing Sadio Mane, who had become their trump card throughout the last campaign.
Although the likes of Spurs and Arsenal, will look to challenge for the title, while vying for the champions league spot, Chelsea, on one hand, it seemed to be losing the touch that enable them to become the Champions in the Champions League at the end of 2024 campaign.
Perhaps the easiest prediction to make at this early stage of the season is for Man City’s star summer signing Erling Haaland to carry home the golden boot in May. Already though, there are signs that this season may well produce some surprises. Let’s look at the biggest of those.
1. Brighton
It shouldn’t come as too much of a shock how Brighton has started this season, bearing in mind the way they have performed in recent years, but this season they do look like the complete team.
Graham Potter has quietly gone about his work on the south coast to create a team that performs way above the sum of its parts.
That is not to take anything away from the individual players, several of whom are verging on world-class but, to suit the highest level in the EPL, you need to play as a team, not a set of individuals. Just ask Arsenal fans.
Adding goals to their play was the issue last season. Welbeck has started well and could make a difference, but the way Potter’s team play they should get goals from all over the pitch.
How far could Brighton finish this season? Last season’s 9th place showed they can maintain consistent form, something they had failed to do in the previous campaign. Is a Europa League place a possibility? Very much so.
Brighton getting into the top six may not quite rank among, but it would still be a remarkable feat, especially given the teams they will be fighting against and their relative budgets.
2. Tottenham and Arsenal
For years, both of these North London rivals, Tottenham and Arsenal, seem to have been on the verge of making the step up to becoming genuine title challengers. At long last, both clubs look to have achieved it.
Arteta finally has his team and squad, though there have been a few lapses with the reliance on the brilliance of Thomas Partey to shield the gunner’s defense effortlessly whenever he is called upon.
However, just like how the young guns fell out of the favor to make the last champions league slot as the 2024/2024 season, the team is somewhat experienced, mature, and hinge to leap beyond their current status of Europa and their start to life in 2024/2024 season is a proven of the beasts that Arteta is unleashing to the Premier League
Though Antonio Conte seems happy at his club and has his team playing like the Italian coach wanted to. Moreso, the distraction of the Kane saga appears to have disappeared as well. The cameo of the new signings and establishment of the partnership of Harry Kane, Kulusevski, and Son is gradually becoming a horn in the heart of the Premier League clubs.
Though the Italian coach is having issues with his team settings in some games and the inconsistent nature of his team play is evidence of the need for improvement, Spurs is well-positioned to challenge for the title in the 2024/2024 season.
Moreover, with Chelsea inconsistent, Liverpool’s less than a convincing start, and Manchester City dropping points early in the season Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal might have a reason the loggerhead with each other on who to grab the first or second place.
3. Nottingham Forest
It’s hard to say which is more surprising, the number of new signings at the City ground or the speed with which Steve Cooper has managed to integrate them into a team. For more transfer information check on Pokerstars.
Forest has played with a togetherness that is nothing short of remarkable, bearing in mind most did not know each other a couple of weeks ago.
Staying up has to be the East Midlands outfit’s number one priority, but if they do click, and all indications are pointing to the fact they will, then a midtable finish is a very real possibility.
4. Aston Villa and Everton
With a potential relegation spot freed up by Nottingham Forest, and even by Fulham, who have looked more equipped for a Premier League campaign than many thought they were capable of, the door is open for more established clubs to fall down.
Everton fans would have hoped their side would push on this season after last one’s dramatic finale, but it hasn’t happened yet for Lampard’s side. Keeping Gordon is a huge boost, but if they don’t start picking up points soon you do have to fear for the club and for Lampard.
Gerrard is also not finding the going easy. The former England midfielder’s time at Villa started well, but the latter stages of last season and the early ones of this have been disappointing, to say the least.
The club seems to lack an identity or direction, and though they undoubtedly have good players, few if any are playing to their potential. It could be a very long season for the club, and unless things do turn around, a very short one for the former Liverpool legend.
